“I went into it being slightly skeptical because I’m always skeptical self-help books. I’m not going to be shy about it, it was very tastefully done, and there’s something about the addition of those key takeaways and questions that made it so much more engaging for me, I was almost looking forward to hearing those every time we got to that point, and it was very digestible, very bingeable as you mentioned. I highly recommend it.”

Living with narcolepsy and cataplexy has been one of my greatest challenges, but it’s also shaped me in unexpected ways. My memoir, Don’t Snooze Your Dreams, reflects this journey—from managing a debilitating sleep disorder to launching a business, writing a book, and advocating for narcolepsy awareness.

In a recent conversation with Jacob, I shared how receiving my diagnosis was a turning point after years of uncertainty. Naming my condition gave me clarity and set me on a path to reclaim my life. Writing my book became both a professional milestone and a personal act of healing, allowing me to share lessons that resonate with others facing their own challenges.

Maximus, my “soul-dog,” has been an integral part of this journey, offering intuitive support and constant comfort. His presence reminds me of the importance of leaning on the support systems we build around us.

Through advocacy and storytelling, I’ve learned that struggles can become strengths. Narcolepsy has taught me resilience and determination to dream big. If my story inspires even one person to embrace their challenges and pursue their dreams, then sharing it has been worth it.
